What tender support costs, explained without the runaround

Most tender consultants will not talk about money until you are on a call. We would rather you understood how this is priced before you pick up the phone. Below is how we quote, what moves the number, and the four ways firms engage us.

Fixed prices, no surprisesuse the calculator for your own numbers

The short answer

Every engagement is priced after we read the tender

Effort, not contract value, sets the price. Two tenders of the same value can differ by a factor of five in effort, depending on returnables, deadline and compliance load. So we quote against the documents rather than a public rate card, and we open our numbers to firms who tell us what they are bidding.

So the process is simple. Send us the documents. Within 24 hours you get a go or no-go view and a fixed, written price for the scope we recommend. If we think you should not bid, we say so, and that advice costs you nothing.

Questions we get about money

Pricing FAQs

How much do tender writers charge in Australia?

It varies with scope. A single criterion response is a few hours of work. A full submission for a government panel can run for weeks and involve writing, estimating, compliance and lodgement. Rather than publish a rate that would mislead you, we review the tender first and issue a fixed written price before you commit.

Do you charge hourly or fixed?

Fixed for defined scopes such as a submission, a methodology or a bid library build. Hourly or day rate only where scope genuinely cannot be defined up front, and then with an agreed cap.

Do you take a percentage of the contract if we win?

Never a percentage. On our win win model there is a success fee, but it is a fixed dollar amount agreed in writing before we start, and it is capped at an agreed maximum no matter how large the contract is. You can also choose the fixed fee model and pay nothing on award. Either way the go or no-go advice is free, so we can tell you honestly when a tender is not worth entering.

Is the tender review really free?

Yes. Send the RFT and you get a go or no-go view within 24 hours, plus a fixed price for the work if it is worth pursuing. There is no charge and no obligation.

What is the cheapest way to work with you?

Start with one piece. A single methodology, an estimate, or a review of a draft you have already written is the lowest cost way in. Tell us about your tender and we will give you the starting price in writing, with no obligation.

Send the tender. Get a price in 24 hours.

No charge for the review, and a fixed written figure before any work begins.
